Residential new construction program completes 5,000 homes
The residential new construction program, a joint offering from ComEd® and Nicor Gas, recently completed the construction of its 5,000th efficient home. These homes exceed current Illinois Energy Codes by at least 20 percent, allowing homeowners to save from the day they move in. Learn more about the program, see the home and read the full story here.

What the new ICC Certification requirement might mean for your business
Prior to issuing certain energy efficiency incentives or rebates, ComEd will need to verify that the contractor responsible is certified through the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) to install energy efficiency measures. This is an electric utility requirement only – it is not required to take advantage of offers from Nicor Gas. For more information, contact ComEd at 1.855.433.2700 or visit the Illinois Commerce Commission Installer Certification website.
