Building Science Principles training class hosted at Nicor Gas

On May 22, Nicor Gas hosted a day-long training class on building science principles to discuss how various components of the home interact to affect a home’s overall performance. Participants learned about the relationship between the building envelope, heating, A/C, insulation, mechanical ventilation, lighting, appliances and other systems of the home to understand how these systems affect the comfort, health and safety of occupants and durability of the home. This class is particularly beneficial for anyone who needs to know about building science, but may never need to perform testing.

Earning a Building Science Principles certificate is your first step into the world of energy-efficient home performance and could assist you in your position or business. Check out our calendar for more information on upcoming training and event opportunities offered by our partners.
