The Elementary Energy Education Program is designed to teach students and their families how to conserve energy resources by using energy more efficiently at home and at school. A maximum of 10,000 fifth graders will be provided energy education, along with a free energy-saving take-home kit to learn about and undertake simple, low-cost efficiency measures at home. Students will be able to document how the changes they make result in natural gas energy savings.
The program is not open for public enrollment. Eligible schools will be contacted by the National Energy Foundation to participate.
