Now offering a new online application system!
The Home Energy Efficiency Rebate Program has launched an improved, user-friendly online application system. Nicor Gas Account Holders and Landlord Applicants* can now apply online and upload your Itemized Contractor Invoice directly. The new system also offers "tool tips" next to the information fields to help guide you through the application.
Review all Program requirements listed throughout the Participant Information pages to ensure you submit a complete and eligible Rebate Application. Download the New Residential Rebate Application Guidance fact sheet for Itemized Contractor Invoice requirements and tips on participating, and read through the Important Reminders below.
After your Rebate Application is completed and approved, you will receive your rebate check in approximately 2 weeks!
Important Reminders
- Products must be purchased and installed between June 1, 2011 and May 31, 2014. The offer is valid from June 1, 2011 to May 31, 2014, or until funds are depleted, whichever comes first. Online applications must be submitted, and mail-in applications must be postmarked no later than 90 days after installation, or by June 30, 2014, whichever comes first.
- New! Complete System Replacement Applications:
- Use the Online Application system and select "Complete System Replacement" from the Welcome page after logging in.
- You can also download the mail-in rebate application, and complete Page 5 for the Complete System Replacement rebate. Enter all product information, including both the furnace and central air conditioning unit on Page 5. Do not enter furnace information Page 2.
- Products must be purchased and installed January 1, 2012 through May 31, 2012. Applications must be postmarked within 90 days of installation, or by June 15, 2012.

- Online Applications:
- Nicor Gas Account Holders and Landlord applicants* may utilize the online application system.
- Upload your invoice to the online application system in Step 3, or mail it into the Rebate Submission Address listed below after submitting your application online.
- Check the status of your rebate online at any time after submission.
- * Landlord Applicants:
- Landlords and property owners who are not the Nicor Gas Account Holders for the space in which qualifying equipment is installed may apply for rebates, and are now able to use the online application system.
- You must submit a completed and Account Holder-signed Customer Release Form (click here to download). Upload your completed form in Step 1 of the online application system, or mail it into the Rebate Submission address listed below.
- Landlords and property owners who are not the Nicor Gas Account Holders for the space in which qualifying equipment is installed may apply for rebates, and are now able to use the online application system.
- Nicor Gas Account Holders and Landlord applicants* may utilize the online application system.
- Mail-In Applications:
- Print out the rebate application, complete and mail in with all required documentation to the Rebate Submission Address below.
- Contractors offering the Instant Discount must apply via mail.
- Instant Discount:
- Contractors and customers utilizing the Instant Discount option must apply using the downloadable Rebate Application.

- New! Flue Season Promotion Applicants: Are you submitting an application for both qualifying furnace and qualifying water heater?
- Online Applications: Enter "FLUESEASON" in the "Promo Code" field on Step 3 of the online application system, below the Program Survey.
- Mail-In Applications: Enter "FLUESEASON" in the "Promo Code" field on Page 1.
- Itemized Contractor Invoice/Proof of Purchase Receipt:
- All applications must include an Itemized Contractor Invoice/Proof of Purchase Receipt (click here for a sample invoice), submitted to the Rebate Submission Address listed below, which includes:
- Equipment Make, Model and Serial Number
- Total Installed Cost (Itemized by Equipment)
- Purchase Date
- Installation Date
- Professional Contractor’s Business/Company Name, Address and Phone Number
- Balance Due of Zero, Paid In Full Stamp or Payment Terms of a Finance Agreement
- Furnace Installations: Include the installation configuration ("Upflow," "Downflow," or "Horizontal")
- All applications must include an Itemized Contractor Invoice/Proof of Purchase Receipt (click here for a sample invoice), submitted to the Rebate Submission Address listed below, which includes:
- All applications are reviewed for eligibility following submission. Rebates are paid according to the requirements and rebate amounts provided on the Rebate Information page. Your rebate application must be accompanied by an Itemized Contractor Invoice with all requirements listed above. Should we require additional information to complete processing of your application, you will be contacted.
